Honouring the Carnegie Libraries in Ireland
On August 8, we issue four stamps that honour the memory of a wonderful benefactor to Ireland, Andrew Carnegie, whose death occurred 100 years ago.
 

The 100th Liffey Swim
On August 1, An Post issued a stamp to commemorate the 100th annual Liffey Swim. The century-long tradition was first organised by Dublin Corporation employee, Bernard Fagan and was held on July 22, 1920.

On May 31, 2018 An Post has commissioned a stamp to commemorate the 1,400th Anniversary of the death of Saint Kevin.
 

Na Piobairi Uilleann
On May 24, 2018 An Post has commissioned a stamp to commemorate the body, which reversed the decline in the popularity of the Uilleann Pipes, Na Píobairí Uilleann.
 

EUROPA - Bridges
On the 3rd May, An Post issued the 2018 Europa stamps. Every year, European Post Offices (PostEurop) select a common theme to celebrate and then each country issues stamps on that topic which this year is Bridges.
 

International Statesmen
On the 5th of April, An Post issued two stamps commemorating the International Statesmen Nelson Mandela and Martin Luther King Jr.
