Irish Myths and Legends
On September 13, 2012, An Post issued four stamps depicting Irish Myths and Legends. The stamps feature The Children of Lir, Deirdre of the Sorrows, Fionn Mac Cumhaill and Cú Chulainn.






 

Irish Animals and Marine Life - Phase III of New Definitives
On August 9, 2012, An Post issued a further eight stamps for its Irish Animals and Marine Life definitive series, illustrating Ireland’s biodiversity from the seabed to the mountain top.

Introduction of Irish Animals and Marine Life Stamp Coil
On September 29, 2011, An Post issued two stamps from its Irish Animals and Marine Life definitive series to issue on a coil.








 

Seventh Definitive Series Irish Animals & Marine Life Phase II
On July 21, 2011, An Post issued a further eight stamps for its Irish Animals and Marine Life definitive series, illustrating Ireland’s biodiversity from the seabed to the mountain top. Biodiversity is an all-encompassing term used to describe the variety of all life and natural processes on Earth.









 

Irish Animals and Marine Life
On 8 September, 2010, An Post issued eight stamps for the launch of the seventh definitive stamp series, entitled Irish Animals and Marine Life illustrating Ireland’s biodiversity from the seabed to the mountain top.

For the first time, An Post’s definitive series features stamps in a photographic format with many of these images capturing the personality of the species depicted. In the coming years, approximately 50 stamps will be issued portraying the incredible variety of animal and marine life native to Ireland.









 

Stamps On A Roll
On 22 July, 2010, An Post officially introduced Stamps on a Roll (SOAR), a new self-adhesive stamp format containing images from the Irish Wild Flowers Definitive series.






 

Wild Flowers of Ireland Definitives VI
On 5 December, 2008, An Post issued a new self-adhesive stamp from the Sixth Definitive series, entitled 'Wild Flowers of Ireland'.







 

Wild Flowers of Ireland Definitives V
The fifth phase of the sixth definitive series, features a further 3 stamps depicting the Wild Flowers of Ireland.  The stamps denominated at 20c, 50c and 82c feature flowers particular to Coastal areas.
 

Irish Wildflower Definitives IV
The latest additions to our 'Wild Flowers of Ireland' Definitive Series were issued on 1 March 2007 and 20 April 2007. There were four New Definitive stamps along with two N Rate stamps all from the 'Wetlands' classification, designed by Susan Sex.






 

Irish Wild Flowers Definitives III
Five New Definitive stamps were issued on 20 February 2006 and all of these stamps feature flowers from the 'Dry Grassland & Rocky Heath' classification.
















 

Irish Wild Flower Definitives II
The second phase of the sixth definitive series, features a further 5 stamps depicting the Wild Flowers of Ireland.  The stamps denominated at 1c, 2c, 7c, 10c and €10 feature flowers particular to the Burren, Co. Clare.






 

Irish Wild Flowers I
An Post is proud to launch our new series of definitive stamps.  The theme of the series is Irish Wild Flowers.  The beautiful illustrations were painted by renowned artist Susan Sex.
