Fatima 1917-2017 €1.35 Stamp

100 years ago, three children from Fátima, Portugal reported that an angel had cometo Earth to visit them at the nearby Cova da Iria. These shepherd children – Lúcia Santos and her cousins Jacinta and Francisco Marto – claimed that the Virgin Mary had visited them six times in total between May and October 1917.

The stamp was designed by 2b:creative and features a statue from Fatima of the Virgin Mary. The statue was purchased by Archbishop Eamon Martin of Armagh, and is on display in his oratory.
