On October 17, 2013, An Post issued four stamps entitled Contemporary Public Buildings.

The public buildings featured project a forward-looking and creative image of Ireland, and demonstrate contemporary architecture enhancing the environment.

Fingal County Hall, Dublin, is an outstanding example of the new generation of civic offices in Ireland. Designed by Bucholz McEvoy Architects, it received an award from RIAI in 2001 and provides a sustainable, low-energy working environment for Council employees. 

Croke Park Stadium, Dublin, is an outstanding example of modern stadium design and it ranks as one of the finest sporting arenas in Europe. Designed by Gilroy McMahon, it won the RIAI Gold Medal for the period 2001–2003.

The stamps were designed by Zinc Design Consultants.
