In this year's Irish Yearbook we celebrate the achievements and talents of six of Ireland’s top fashion designers. Whether it’s musthave hats, beautiful bags or dresses to die for, we have some of the best designers in the business and we commemorated them with the issue of six stylish stamps. We also took a trip back to the 60s to pay tribute to the original Irish popstars – the Showbands. Four stamps were produced in honour offour of the most popular groups of the 60s - The Drifters Showband, The Freshmen, The Miami Showband and The Royal Showband. We commemorated the world’s most prominent stamp engraver, Czeslaw Slania with a joint issue with the Swedish Post Office.

You’ll find these issues, together with all our other Commemorative Stamps, in our
yearbook. Once again, the Irish Yearbook 2010 has the stamp and minisheet mount positioned alongside subject information,technical details and cancels. The 48-page book is designed by Ger Garland and has text in English by Hugh Oram, translated into Irish by Gearóid Ó Casaide.

The Irish Yearbook 2010 was produced by specialist philatelic printer Prinz Verlag and would make a wonderful gift for anyone interested in the culture and heritage of Ireland. It is a limited edition of 1,500 copies.
